“Hee Ae is starting off her morning with bread” says the caption. Mi Yeon comes into Ja Ok’s room and asks if she slept well. Hee Ae follows and she tells Ja Ok about not being used to the door and being locked in. She talks about the camera outside the room and how she hoped that making some noise would be captured by the camera. Then, she thought that someone would come and help her out. Then the scene cuts to her banging on the door and captions say “no one is around” to help her. In addition, the music is turned up really high. That was last night and cut back to the morning scene again and she says it was frightening and what a relief it was that she could open it. She is going outside to take a walk and is worried that her attire looks like pajamas. Ja Ok assures her that it doesn’t. The nunas prepare a beautiful breakfast outdoors and Ja Ok points out to an elderly man as she leans over the terrace and exclaims that he’s naked. Zoom in on the man. LOL! You’re on national television!
Hee Ae is taking a walk and says “I don’t know if the sea is the sky or the sky is the sea”. She talks about the time she snapped pics of the helicam and talks about her children and how they said it was cute…The captions talk about how beautiful Dubrovnic is and how it’s like walking in scenery. She got a text from the person she respects the most…Teacher Kim. She reads it and suddenly starts to cry..captions say..”Why would she cry…” Hee Ae says that her teacher said to her ” as you’re going on a trip, it’ll be difficult, so take some medication”…Hee Ae says she hadn’t slept at all the night before. The camera focuses on her leg and she suddenly felt touched by her warm heart because the message gave her the feeling as if she were right there with her. Pictures of her as an actress with her teacher. She says “Cheer up” and smiles.
Mi Yeon Nuna is walking around Dubrovnic and looks at a statue and a packet saying “I’m sure I’ve seen this somewhere”. She takes off to look for a tourist spot and the red caption says okay and she says “It’s okay if Seung Gi is not here, I can do it”. She finds the place and says “This is it!” She has come to a cathedral. The caption says she is comparing the painting to the one in the book. Cut to scene with YJ and Seung Gi. She asks him how many hours he has slept and he says 8…counting sleeping in, 9. Seung Gi tells the camera that he feels comfortable around YYJ because she is so direct and doesn’t hide anything. Also, she always puts her arm in his.
Cut to scene with Ja Ok. She sees a man and exclaims how sophisticated he looks. She comments that he looks like he’d give his mother some heartache. She just can’t keep her jaw from dropping. LOL. She is people watching. Mi Yeon exclaims OMG as the scenery is of a beautiful blue sea. She says “It’s really nice here. My goodness!” Mi Yeon is tearing up and says so herself. She says it’s so beautiful and she doesn’t think she can capture all that scenery with her eyes. She also says she feels sorry for being the only one seeing this beautiful scene. She offers to buy a beer for the production team joking that she’s rich and they order lemon flavor. She drinks hers and says it tastes like lemonade.
YJ and Seung Gi join Mi Yeon. YJ tastes her beer and says it’s delicious…it doesn’t taste like beer or lemonade. They joke about Seung Gi posing for a beer CF. Mi Yeon is taking photos and tells Seung Gi he has a habit of slouching and to “naturally shake his body out” to relax it. The captions say “naturally shaking his body” as he looks totally heodang doing it. LOL. YJ and Hee Ae are talking about not eating that much. They talk about how women eat less than men. Cut to Seung Gi and he says that women really eat less than men. He says that it’s the first time hearing that salad and soup count as part of a meal. He compares this to Korean food and asks if fried dumplings would count. If so, then yellow pickled radishes that are a side dish should be included. (He laughs)Cut to the past episodes where Seung Gi says “share” and people laugh. The three nunas are talking about Seung Gi wanting to eat as much as he wants. Seung Gi is seen ordering to his heart’s content in Seunglish..The production team asks him if it’s delicious and he says yes. He’s rubbing his stomach and says he’s full and sleepy now.
Cut to scene with YJ commenting about how nice the socks she bought previously are…regrets not buying more. Seung Gi is looking for the Nunas and the caption says “this isn’t the place either” until he finally finds the ticketing booth. Seung Gi tells YJ that if she can bear these difficult stairs, a majestic view is supposed to appear. YJ asks Seung Gi how many steps there are and he tells her that he’d count and tell her later. She says that there’s no need and all they have to do is ask, they should know. They reach the top and Seung exclaims how they’ve reached the highlight of the trip…he mentions how all the rooftops are ..Scenes of the group by the sea. Seung Gi mentions how clear the sea is and one can see everything. YJ talks about an actress friend of hers, Go Hyun Jung, who went all the way to Croatia to film a CF and then says how she will tell her “You went to Croatia to film a coffee CF, I went to Croatia to drink coffee”. (I love her dry wit) Afterwards, they take a rest against the ledges and then Hee Ae mentions some tourists taking a picture while jumping off the ledge. She demonstrates for Seung Gi with the production team taking pictures. The two younger nunas and Seung Gi are about to jump off a ledge and are stretching…they all jump and the production team takes that famous photo of how their skills rival Michael Jordan’s. Seung Gi asks how it turned out and Hee Ae says it is daebak. They jump some more and take more pictures.
Seung Gi asks what would happen if one fell off the walls of Dubrovnic. YJ looks at grapes and says they’re really sweet and delicious. One of the younger nunas talks about the school system in Dubrovnic and mentions parents sending them to schools in Zagreb. All of them are watching kids playing soccer and are commenting on which kid plays best. Seung Gi mentions how one plays in a relaxed manner. Hee Ae asks Seung Gi if he has money because she is going to a cafe. He says yes and they both walk together to the cafe and Hee Ae mentions Korea’s Jeju Island. Hee Ae leaves her shoes and walks barefoot as Seung Gi warns her of glass. She continues to say how nice it is as she walks down the steps. The production team asks if it’s okay being barefoot. She says it’s refreshing. She points out a salamander and says “At 12 o’clock” and asks “We have a day left?” The two have a heart to heart talk about Seung Gi’s first day in Zagreb and Hee Ae asks him if it was a bit difficult. He says of course and now that he thinks of it, it was nothing. He asks her if she’s ever felt that way and she says of course. Both agree it’s difficult traveling even with friends.
Cut to the scene with YJ and Mi Yeon. Mi Yeon asks YJ what would she do if she wasn’t happy with a drama or movie. She says that she had already agreed to do it. Private interview with YJ and she says that everyone’s life has pain and regrets. She is not the only one. That is why she likes jokes and laughing because that is how she is trying to live her life. She says it’s worth living at least once because it’s fun. YJ and Mi Yeon travel and the others follow. Seung Gi says “There’s nothing wrong with my eyes, right?” Because the rooftops all look orange. Mi Yeon says how its regretful now that its time to leave. Seung Gi says what a unique fate this is. He says how it’s important to look at scenes like this with one’s own naked eyes. His private interview talks about how he described the trip on the first day~ a bunch of strangers meeting for the first time. He says now, it feels like brother and sister. All the other actresses talk about how it is difficult to get together to travel on a trip like this. Hee Ae mentions how grateful and memorable this trip will be. YJ says she hasn’t been on a backpacking trip in her life.
Cut to a night time scene. All the nunas tell Seung Gi that he needs to meet a nice woman. Seung Gi jokes “Why are you speaking so sadly?” Then he suddenly explains, oh, they came and raises his hand. They’re the Korean tourists from their meeting at Rastoke. Scenes of their interactions in Rastoke. They planned on having dinner together if they ever met again in Plitivice, which they did. Hee Ae tells one to eat a lot. He says how this is something that he can never forget. The other one says how during 30 days, he’s grateful to be eating something so delicious. Another Korean tourist is talking with Mi Yeon. He has been here for 9 months and his new Korean friend who is next to him has been there for 6 months. He plans to stay here for 1 1/12 years. He is a high school student and I believe he went to the same high school as Seung Gi. He tells Seung Gi he is the school president. Seung Gi asks him something and the young man said #17 and Seung Gi says his is #15 and how he really should give the young man money now. As they leave, Seung Gi says it was good meeting him. Flashback to Seung Gi’s job as a porter and all the jobs he’s done. Seung Gi says that Croatia is too beautiful.
The sun rises and it’s another day. Seung Gi knocks on Hee Ae’s door and tells her he’s bought croissants and bread. Everyone climbs out on the terrace one by one to eat breakfast and one mentions how Seung Gi has purchased bread for them. He says “It’s awesome drinking vitamins by the Adriatic sea” (LOL, don’t tell me they’re Berocca!) Ja Ok drinks it and Seung Gi asks if he passes and she nods a yes. YJ says she is not a woman with smelly socks after showing her daily memo of what she did and how much she spent on what. The production lady comments on how she saw English in her memo and YJ says only simple words. She says that she doesn’t remember when she started writing things down, but it’s been a few years now and she calls it her memo. She’s eating Market O brownies and the captions say “she eats, and eats” and “returns to a sophisticated woman” as she picks up her book again. Hee Ae says she’s nervous about taking the bus because she hasn’t taken one since high school. She’s headed to the market and asks for the bus stop. She asks the bus driver if he could tell her where to get off. Others are watching her and she figures out that she’s not supposed to talk to him while he’s stopping. Captions say “noonchi” which in Korean means being able to read body language and social cues. She manages to find a man who speaks English who tells her the market is 3 stops away. When she reaches the market, she says that when one is brave and takes on a challenge, there is a reward. “But I’m scared”
She’s at the market and asks what kind of fish it is…”It’s a King Gold fish.” She says she’s seen it for the first time in this country. She says the ahjusshi’s is good looking in Korean and translates this into English by telling him, “You look handsome”. He smiles and doesn’t know what to do so he says, “You too.” LOL! Cut to scene of Mi Yeon and the other nunas at a cafe and meet Korean tourists who came to visit a cathedral. Mi Yeon starts crying as the caption says that she starts tearing up at the tourist’s words of “I always hope for your happiness in my heart”. The captions say she tries to wipes away her tears, tries to calm down, but they won’t stop. The scene cuts to 4 days before this incident. They’re indoors and Hee Ae asks her about her difficult times and whether it was “then”. Mi Yeon says maybe her slump was then or even now. Ja Ok looks concerned and says the exact same words the Korean ahjumma tourist told her, “I wish you to be happy”. Captions say “at these words tears start welling up”. Hee Ae tells her not to cry, she doesn’t want to see her weak side but to be strong. Ja Ok tells Hee Ae what strong side? She tells Hee Ae that “kids” like Mi Yeon only have strong voices. Everyone including SG is gathered in YJ’s room and YJ asks Mi Yeon if she’s still choosing her next project. Mi Yeon says she has thoughts of leaving before someone she loves has turned his back on her. She continues by saying how much she loves acting and that she’s afraid she won’t be able to sustain a long career. YJ offers words of advice by telling her life is hit or miss and to try now, while they’re traveling. She says she has found that when something seems to be the end, there’s a beginning. Ja Ok praises Mi Yeon’s personality and says there’s no one like her. The look in her eyes, her eyebrows. She praises her and says that she is going through a process and that definitely, there is a purpose to her life.
Seung Gi is shopping for souvenirs~ he’s buying 2 of everything and jokes that the saleslady must be thinking that he’s buying these things for his girlfriend. He then says he needs to buy some things for Na PD. He meets up with him and Na PD persuades him to go to the beach with him as SG refuses…he finally ends up at the beach with Na PD as he plays an evil game with SG as he changes into a swimsuit. Na PD (not accidentally)drops the towel covering Seung Gi twice. Seung Gi is distressed and tells him Ay! Don’t do that! I’m not joking…both struggle with the towel for different purposes. The first time Na PD drops the towel captions say “1st attack, rated G”. The second time he drops the towel, it escalates to “2nd attack, rated PG-13”. He finally emerges from behind the towel in swim trunks and a top. As he approaches the sea and takes off his top, the yellow bubble caption says “I’m no longer a boy”. Another caption as he swims says “Into the Adriatic Sea..” Flashback to 10 days ago with Seung Gi sighing and YJ commenting how he’s going to get fired at the airport. Ja Ok can be heard in the background commenting,”I know”. Private interview with Seung Gi~ He says he also has lived his life around people – without hearing any really negative comments from them. “After a long time, I’m being scolded. Since they’re my sunbaes, these are comments that they have every right to make. After hearing them, I realized that I also can be scolded. It was something I never expected.” Captions say study, study, and more study. Next ones say he runs and runs. While he’s on the bus, the caption says 10 days continuously doing his best.
Flash back to scenes of YYJ telling him “Seung Gi ya, you worked hard, you found the place well.” Mi Yeon says Seung Gi has this warmth that makes him appealing. She says the teachers like him so much. Mi Yeon believes that Seung Gi has grown up well and wonders out loud whether that comment sounds too much like an adult. Hee Ae states that Seung Gi is level minded and is always trying his best and thinks about what direction he wants to take in his life. She laughs as she mentions that he lives a normal life and clarifies by saying that she believes a prominent person is one who lives a normal life. She agrees when asked by the producer that it isn’t easy to live a normal life if you’re a male celebrity in your 20’s. She states that there are many things that could seduce such stars but she doesn’t believe Seung Gi will succumb to them. She says “that’s why we’ve been warning him” and says she wants him to go to the 38th parallel when he goes to the military…(the DMZ dividing North and South Korea~requires a lot of discipline). Captions as he’s swimming: “What has changed him during the 10 day period”, “His hard work has made him grow”. Seung Gi states that it is 9 years since his debut. Next year will be 10. He states that he has changed a lot in the ten years since his debut. He says that the tone of his speaking voice has changed. When he thinks about his past interviews on Mnet, he feels like he looked like a fool. He states that he wants to work in his field for a long time. He always views being a celebrity as work. Instead of being caught up in one spot, he compares his position in life to the different levels of seniority in a company~ assistant manager, general manager, president, CEO. He feels that he is currently at the assistant manager to team leader level. He believes in order to work for a long time, it should be done a little at a time. Most importantly, he believes that he needs to invest in himself. Last two captions of him in the sea say: “Continuously doing my best to protect myself”, “That is the way 28 year old Seung Gi strives towards achieving his dream”
Caption says “Final evening”. They are gathered eating Market O cheese chips and wine. Na PD comes to join them. Next caption says “The night grows deeper”. Mi Yeon asks YJ about love and says that she is a very sophisticated. Private interview with YJ says she was a working mother and didn’t have time to cook kimchi jigae (stew) or other types of food. She feels sorry towards both of her sons. She jokes how everyone in her family is thin and jokes again by thanking her sons for not being overweight. The actresses start talking about age, Mi Yeon initiates it. She says her 40s were the most difficult because she was sad, angry, and didn’t get recognition. Now, if someone treats her that way, she would say to them “Wait until you grow old”. Mi Yeon is realistic and says “Time passes by for everyone. It’s unavoidable.” She’d like to accept it as gracefully and naturally as possible. Hee Ae doesn’t look forward to growing older, she knows that she will be offered mother and grandma roles and that hurts. However, her kids have grown, she is getting grey hair, and she is an ahjumma. She’d like to do what she likes~acting, earning money, and sending her kids to school. Ja Ok believes the best thing to do is to live age appropriately. “I am now over 60, then acting like someone over 60 is best. What never changes are age and life.” YJ says being 60 doesn’t mean one knows the world. She says this is her first time being 67. Had she known earlier, then she wouldn’t be this way. Because you live one life, regrets and pain are part of it. It can’t be planned, just lived. She will accept what comes into her life and if she has to give up something, so be it. They are heading for the airport and caption says “we are returning home” Mi Yeon’s interview – she says she regrets acting so naive, as if she knew everything, etc. but it’s too late to turn back time. YJ is asked where they should go for their next trip? She’s ready to flip out and says they must be crazy. They suggest Spain and she shakes her head and says the food is too salty. She recommends asking other actresses like Lee Mi Soon or Go Hyun Jung. Seung Gi is asked if he could do better on the next trip….he is contemplative. He repeats the question and says it’s a really difficult question to answer. They show scenes of him with Lee Seojin and the NoF staff at a Korean restaurant…CF commercial. Preview of next week is the behind the scenes story of the trip …they have returned to Korea and are eating at a barbecue restaurant. Lee Seojin is there and making jokes. Wrap up of scenes of Seung Gi with YJ and Hee Ae nuna the next morning in Croatia. THE END.
