There was a month-long waiting period. After much discussion, when I first listened to our finished product <Return>, it is not easy to describe in words how I felt. I was overwhelmed with excitement! If I had to express my feelings, that was the extent of my emotions. I was lost in the sense of achievement I felt at expressing through music what we had discussed in words. Also, with lyrics that warm the heart, every time I listen to that magical song, <Forest>, it transforms my current place into a dense forest. In addition, after much thought, we recorded, mixed, and mastered <An Invitation For Me> in preparation for introducing it to the world. It was a particularly sweltering summer and a pitifully short fall which was also a season that I couldn’t fully enjoy as I was busy with my music project. That’s how time passed and I felt that the air had gotten cold as I took out a knit top to wear one day. I really felt that if I took a breath, it would shatter. This is when I completed my third composition, <Words That Say I Love You>.
Also, on behalf of this special album, I planned another project. For those listening to this music, I wanted to travel to places that would enhance it. My initial thought was to capture those places at an angle so that people who listened to this music would be able to feel as if they were actually there. I wondered how that experience would be and this is how my photo essay project started…On behalf of this project, I spent 1 night and 2 days in Gangwon-do province, half a day at Tongin Market in Seoul, which is an unfamiliar area to me, and 1 night and 2 days at Inje-ro, Gangwon-do, where I did a shoot for a music video. My (camera) shutter, in addition to the shutter that captured my image had no chance to rest in between shots.
Nimble footed sources had already announced our joint project to the world. As the number of people anticipating our refreshing results increased, so did the burden but the season was already winter again.
