Lee Seung Gi and Go Ara in Hanbok~ Traditional Korean Costume

According to their blog, Min Hanbok provides luxury hanboks to many celebrities, dramas, and musicals. They mentioned how much they were enjoying Seung Gi’s new drama, ‘You’re All Surrounded’ and said they had provided these hanboks to both stars. Their shop is located in the Chungdam-dong area of Gangnam. Luxury Hanboks are custom made using silk which can cost from $750 and up. I am lucky to own one set, but they are very expensive because luxury Hanbok is made of silk. That is how Hanboks during the Joseon era were made~ all out of silk until the advent of polyester in modern times.  The cap that Go Ara is wearing is called an “ayam” and was worn by upper class ladies during the Joseon era.It keeps the head warm during the fall and winter.
