Chuseok is one of the 2 major holidays in Korea besides Lunar New Year. Koreans travel to their hometown to visit relatives and it is a 3 day holiday that occurs on August 15th on the Lunar calendar. It is also known as Korean Thanksgiving. The message says “Have an abundant Hangawi”. Hangawi is archaic Korean for what is known as Chuseok today. It means “great middle of autumn” and is a major harvest festival. Traffic in Korea is expected to be at an all time peak this year and many of my coworkers including myself have already left to visit relatives. I most likely won’t be posting very much during this time since it is a time spent with family.
